Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy = Very funny

I highly recommend anyone who is a fan of Family Guy to buy this or download it. I'm more of a South Park person for obvious reasons but this will give you a good laugh. I'm only ten minutes into it and I'm almost in tears after a segment called "Name That Animal Penis!", which is setup like a gameshow where a contestant tries to identify various animal penis'. I know it sounds weird and random but i love random comedy.

This is why I like Swagger as a brand. They aren't afraid to take risk and do something different. Kudos to the founder of Swagger, Big-O. Lupe makes them look attractive, but I don't think I could pull them off. Maybe if they weren't mis-match, I'd think about trying to hunt me down a "Mint" pair. I know these are going to sell out reguardless. These kicks will only be available at Swagger flagship stores and will sell for about $220 USD.

I been busy as of lately and I finally got a moment to post a few things so I guess I'll begin with Drake's music video for his song "Best I Ever Had" which has been out for some time. I liked the whole high school "degrassi" concept but to be quite honest I did not like the video that much. Nonetheless it's still a great song.

*Did anybody else notice that all the women in the video had erm um...large...nevermind*

While I'm talking about Drake, I may as well talk about his label mate on Young Money, Tyga. I really did not like Tyga when I first heard him considering "Coconut Juice" was a lukewarm song and I didn't really bother to listen to his album considering it came out on the same day as The Carter III (and Seeing Sounds), but after listening to a few of his mixtapes, I can proudly say "I am a Tyga fan". His newest mixtape entitled "The Potential" (which is a perfect name for it) is a good listen. I'm looking forward to his sophomore album "The Introduction".

Vince Carter on The Orlando Magic! Shaq playing along side Lebron! Richard Jefferson traded to the Spurs! I must say I can not wait until the next NBA season starts. These blockbuster trades definitely overshadowed the NBA draft. It might be a tad bit early for predictions but I believe the 2010 Conference Finals will come down to The Spurs vs. The Lakers and The Magic vs. The Cavs provided these old "pieces" fit with they're new team.

According to TMZ the King of Pop, Michael Jackson has died today at the age of 50 from a heart attack.

"Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back."

This really just ruined my day. I was just listening to "Human Nature" around the time of my last post. I'm sure James will want to elaborate on this situation when he has the time because Michael had a huge impact on him as he did on I.

I hate fake shoes as much as the next person, but I looked at this video and was pretty heated by the time it was done playing (maybe its the 90 degree Detroit weather). Whoever made this video is an absolute asshole.

I couldn't just go up to a random kid on the streets and just talk about his fake shoes in such a manner as he did. Obviously the kid was oblivious the fact that his Air Yeezy's were fake. Fakes will always be made and fake shoes will always be brought, but this is defiently NOT the way to go about educating one on the matter.

Ohhhhh, i can't wait until this movie comes out...I'm TS junkie, and Disney x Pixar know it, that's why they decided to release it on my BIRTHDAY!!! Well, it's almost 11 AM EST, and i have to brush my teeth and wash the sleep boogers out of my eyes because i have a meeting at Noon. To be honest, I really dont feel like driving there...i stayed up til 5 AM playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance, so i'm still a bit tired, but a lot of money is involved (from what i hear.) My mom made me try 5 guys and Fries last night around 9, it was pretty good, but I'm still full from it...stomach is making noises...let me go POO!!!

Above is a painting that i'm currently working on...Hopefully, I can finish it in a couple of weeks when i go back to Chicago. There are people I haven't really kept in touch with since i've been back home, and i apologize...just been a little busy, but you'll receive a call or text from me sooner than later...I can only hope that you all like me enough to respond. My mom just cooked breakfast...i often wonder how she does it...there's a giant science equation involved in cooking that i have yet to crack..I mean have you seen my cookies?? They look like fried chicken. I've been playing Midnight Club LA for the past two days, and it's pretty fun...a little easy (then again it's only the beginning), the cops are every where...they arrested me right in front of my garage, and all the other racers are way too anal.

After I finish this post I'll be off to the barber shop...i'm getting old, facial hair is starting to grow in..i almost have a beard, and my sideburns are getting longer...i look 18 or 19 now!!! I'll be 21 in a couple of weeks; my sister asked what i wanted for my birthday, and i told her money...she gave me THE LOOK!!! Intergalatic Jess and I are going to hang out on Saturday...this should be interesting...very interesting...(i'll take pics...maaaaybe)

Why am I just finding out about this?

(From left to right) Joe Budden, Royce Da 5'9", Joell Ortiz and Crooked l make up the rap group known as Slaughterhouse. I thought I heard something about them being a group but it wasn't until today that I decided to take the time out and investigate. Here is the track entitled Slaughterhouse which released on Joe Budden's Halfway House mixtape back in 2008.

"I do everything my Penn State like a Nittany Lion" <--- CRAZY!!! The album is schelduled for a July release but it seems like all the most anticipated albums get pushed back so I'm not getting my hopes up. This is the birth of a supergroup and I expect it the album to be an instant classic. If hip-hop did die within these past few years this is the revival of it.

While sitting here at home while watching the NBA playoffs and browsing the Internet, I came across a topic on a music forum about Philly's Most Wanted. Not much is known about the duo (Mr. Man & Boo bonic) from Philly besides a classic first album and a sophomore album that flopped...miserably. With that being said, I highly recommend that everyone should have their first album entitled "Get Down or Lay Down" in their music library. Its a solid download worthy album at the least.

Through conversation, music, and thinking to myself, I've come to a question that I currently have no answer to. As a service member, when I go out in public in uniform, I find a lot of people that treat me differently because of my uniform. People look from out in the distance, some walk up an thank me for serving, and others offer to pay for food or drinks, just to be kind. However, the additional respect given to service members is totally lost and given as disrespect to police. Men and women that do the SAME THING for less reward, less benefits, and less pay, and put themselves in harm's way without even leaving the city they live in. Before you get the wrong idea, I'm not choosing sides, only being realistic.

What makes it okay?

I can understand the reaction towards law enforcement from people on the "other side of the law" (criminals and such)
but law abiding citizens?
Office workers, soccer moms, store clerks, and factory workers?
Everyday people (including myself at one time) give cops a hard time, and carry an overall "fuck the police" sort of attitude toward cops that usually try to do their job, and only that. I asked a man that thanked me for serving this very question, (would you thank a cop the same way?) and he looked at me like I was crazy.

I'll end this before i get too wordy.

Clothing line, Fli Pelican has been busy cooking something up fresh for the trendsetters to get "Fli" in this summer. The new shirt features none other than Ye's model girlfriend, Amber Rose. I can guarantee its going to be a lot of hype around this shirt so fashion fiends should be ready to head out to Burn Rubber, LDRS or SNKY on Saturday, May 2nd because it seems like they aren't going to last long.

Also, I'm going to have to pass on the Yeezy's because they're dropping May 2nd as well as the shirt. I was hoping that they were going to drop the middle or late May (which is well after I get paid)...*sigh*

I'm going to have to make up for not getting this beautiful pair of shoes. Maybe I'll re-buy some MF Doom's perhaps. Any shoe suggestions?

First of all, this is not an April Fool's joke. X-Men Origins: Wolverine has been leaked a month before its release. This is the 4th movie to the X-Men movie series and also a prequel which features one of the more popular X-Men characters, Wolverine. Personally, I was always a Gambit person. He was just so smooth from the battlefield to with the ladies that I couldn't help but like him. Anyways, I don't really know how James would feel about me posting this, but theres only one way to find out...

Seeing More Sounds

By now you should know that N.E.R.D. is planning on a re-release of their last studio album "Seeing Sounds" which originally was released last June. From a reliable source the repackaged version will feature 3-5 new tracks. There is no word yet on a release date or if the album will feature live instruments (from none other than Spymob), but one can only hope.

From that same "reliable source", the three-man-band has already completed SIX songs for the upcoming album. In the mean time...

After a long wait for fans, rats, snakes, chickens, ducks, elderly people and twurkers, Resident Evil 5 is dropping today. I will be killing zombies tonight, and over the weekend on my wonderful PS3, should anyone care to join me. (my Network ID is T-A-F-K-A)

I playd the demo, and this is honestly the first Resident Evil game I've really wanted to play. Playing online may be tricky, because you have a good chance of being teamed up with an 11-year-old whose mother doesn't know what the "M" stands for. However, If you have a buddy online, a friend at home, or you team up with the computer, ( the computer got me killed every time i played the demo) this game is the shit.

I anxiously waited yesterday for "Kinda Like A Big Deal", the first single featuring Kanye West from Clipse's new album "'Til The Casket Drops". Unfortunately, it never was released like it was supposed to, though a reliable source stated that it will be here sooner than later. So began the search to feed the fix that my ears were craving. While searching the Internet I found out that Joe Budden's latest LP "Padded Room" had released last week.

Joe Budden is one of today's most "slept-on" artist and is one of the best in my opinion. He has exceptional wordplay and has a natural talent to paint pictures with his words. I won't go into too much detail about the album, but I will say it is a solid album with a few classic songs and is worth at least a download.

Good Afternoon everyone...This past midnight I went to see Watchmen...i didn't exactly dislike the movie, but didn't really like it...the movie was entirely too long, there were many useless scenes, the script was terrible...they could have implemented the comic script better, and i really disliked all the heroic poses that each character did...Sorry, if i sound like i'm hating on this movie, but i did like the visuals, and the choreography of the fight scenes.

Today, the temperature is 70 degrees fahrenheit or 21.1 degrees celsius, but tomorrow the temperature will drop down to 50. Above, is a painting...a painting with colors...yes. Ty, from Leaders 1354 hit me up about doing a painting for the LDRS x REEBOK Reverse Jam release back in November, but due to my father passing away this past election day, and me leaving chicago due to that and then winter break...i didn't get to deliver the painting. Now the painting is done, and i'm going to drop it off...well, i hope all is well with every one, take care.

As mentioned, I'll be posting here now on a semi-reguar basis. (as conistent as I can keep, depending on my schedule) I was somewhat out of commission since our good friend James introuced me to you all, but things are back to normal, whatever that may be. Right now, I'm training at the Naval Submarine School up in Groton, CT. Before the year is over, I'm hoping to have earned my "dolphins", A.K.A. my submarine warfare medal. (I'm In the navy if it hasn't been mentioned before)

I get goosebumps every time I watch this video or just watch Rodney Mullen skate. In case you don't know who "The Mutt" is, Rod is one of the pioneers of skateboarding. He has been Skating since 1977 and in just three short years he went pro. He has created many tricks (over 30) and is easily the best when it comes to flatland tricks. While Rodney is not my favorite skater he is definitely among the list and very entertaining to watching.

Me and Darryl were hanging out yesterday and we had the strangest urge to skate. I was on hiatus most of last year and I don't really make an attempt to go anywhere indoor during the winter, so when it starts to get warm we will be around the city skating (James you need to join us when you get back). I'll post some videos of me skating when that time comes if I can get some footage worth posting.

I'm on track number 6 (Evil Woman), thus far the mixtape has been muy excelente, and i'm sure the rest is...Posner is really doing his thing, and i enjoy the way he sings...it's sorta raspy, it sounds like he's smoking and singing at the same time (if that makes sense.) I told the L.B.P, that my only complaint w/o listening to the whole mixtape was that it's only 12 songs, and i've heard 3 of them before the mixtape...so i want more, but I'm just a greedy music listener...i fiend for that shiiiin, it's inspiration for me...

Pink seemed gay??

Dear Jordan,

I've been thinking about your "pink" comment off-and-on throughout the day (I actually made a painting with hot pink in it), and i know it was a subjective opinion/joke (that may have been in poor taste), but i decided to address it in an actual post just incase it offended any of the readers/visitors, which it probably didn't...but you never know. I know Society suggests that the color pink denotes female qualities because it's a bright color, and males who wear pink or any bright color are considered "questionable" as far as sexual preference...but I find that to be absurd...colors are colors, and i know they have emotional and psychological meanings, but I'm sure many people, homosexual, bi-sexual, or straight select color based on personal preference...Jordan, please try your best not to stereotype people, and I'll definitely practice what I preach...because we're better and know better than that, and we're sorry if the "pink" comment did offend anyone.

Sidenote: the Breastosaurus next to me was creepy, and she kinda looks like CHARO!!!

The Return of Killa Cam

Killa Cam is back and still has a sense of humor I see. Cam'ron was one of those rappers that was always able to make me laugh whether it be the skits on his album, videos like this, lyrics in his songs and of course his fashion sense. I KNOW everybody remembers when Cam'ron started the whole "pink" trend.

It makes me look back on those High School "golden years" when people (sadly myself included) started wearing white and black tall tees. Some were actually brave enough to wear the pink ones (I couldn't get into that, it just seemed gay to wear a "newborn pink" footlocker shirt). Before long I've noticed dudes were sporting pink laces in their dingy off-white forces and with a matching pink New Era fitted cap. Looking back on this all I can do is laugh on how people used to dress and follow trends (some people still do) and be proud that my shirt does NOT go past my knees anymore.

Davin's the new kid on the blog...he's a former alcoholic and ramen eater turned blogger...go figure. Davin and I have a long history, he's pretty much my brother...i'll share a few stories...as will jordan, and possibly our friend george...ENJOI!!

Superbowl XL...Winter 2006...the NFL for some reason decides to have the superbowl in Detroit. Dav, Gino, and I go downtown during the end of superbowl weekend, and decided to borrow Official NFL property. Any whoo, i just wanted to blog this picture because the length of davin's shirt is ridiculous...it's at least a foot longer than the polo he's wearing over top of that shirt, and it's dingy...i remember Dav's dad was talking shiin about his tall tees...he was like "Davin, what the hell are you wearing?? You wear them night gowns every damn day...you need to wash them."...ahhhhh, good times good times. Oh yea, this was a week before Davin went bald.

Winter 007-008...Davin moved to Macon, GA in the summer of 2006, and this was my first time seeing him since then. Davin, Jordan, Carde, and I have a "guy's night out" type of night, and we end up at Carde's older brother's house. The older brother brings out all types of liquor to drink, so we're drinking and playing pool and craps...as the night goes on Davin seems to be getting louder and louder...Davin is tipsy. Davin had two coronas, five jagerbombs, and three shots of patron. As Davin talks shit to every one, i decide to "fix" Dav a drink...i mixed the hennessy and patron in a cup while Dav was taking a patron shot and talking shiiin to Jordan. I offer Davin the drink, and he turns it down, so i call him a pu$$y, and he was like "fudge you, grady" takes the drink, and ruins his night. After he drunk it i told him what i did, but he was too "gone" to comprehend what i was saying to him...instead he was calling everybody and everything gay..next thing you know, he's on the ground, we drag him into the living area, and he begins to throw up on himself...then we make him get up, and he threw up outside. VIDEO WILL BE POSTED ON A LATER DAY

Oatmeal...Spring 2006, Davin and I are up to our usual miscellaneous activities...well mischief. We're in the hallway of Davin's apartment building, and a bird just so happens to be locked inside...I'm standing on the steps minding my business, advising Davin to leave the bird alone because he has a bad history with birds, and he hears me, but he doesn't listen. Davin steps inside his apt, and comes out with a few oatmeal sandwich cookies...he then begins to chuck the cookies at the bird. Davin is extrememly uncoordinated and has terrible aim, but he actually hit the bird...so the bird went crazy and flew at Davin...Davin screamed, ran around, then jumped into his apartment, closed and locked the door (like the bird was actually going to break in.)

As I suffered multiple beer brutalities vicariously, the lil' boss playa dared to challenge me to a few games of Ms. Pacman...SIIIIIGH. I'm guessing she sensed my Mac-Pac aura, and thought she was worthy enough to go toe-to-toe with me, that didn't happen because we couldn't figure out how to change the setting to 2-players, but that didn't stop me from playing. Playing the game brought back many memories of Freshman year in highschool...i'd play Pacman on my TI-83plus with my then-homie, Jajow a.k.a The Birdman Predecessor

I truly did not have any intentions on bloging something about shoes for a while, but I found out about these beautys and had to tell the world. Although its just a teaser from SBTG, you can clearly see that these will create a lot of hype. Selvage denim, "Gucci" colored laces and a GUM SOLE on a pair of Dunks demands attention. These shoes will surely be limited as all "pieces" from SBTG are so expect to pay an arm and possibly a leg for these upon their release.

"Lock-Ness Nylon?"

Having this be my first Blog Let me say "Im back for the First time". Having said that, during the New York Fashion Week someone was spotted wearing these Nylon Magazine x Nike Sportswear Dunk High's. At first glance, my mind says "YUCK," but hey... who am I to call shoes ugly? None-the-less, the shoes don't release until June '09, and need less to say I will not be rushing out to get them. The colab has created 3 colors Pink, Green, & Yellow. I must admit.. the Yellow pair do tickle my fancy a bit, but I'd rather hear what you guys have to say.

It appears as though the shoe has some sort of text that's only visible under certain lighting...but i could be wrong so don't quote me on that

The words on the side of the shoe (of course) say "Nylon". The hairy leg attached to these shoes make me think of a big green monster for some reason. The shades of Green and the " Parachute" material are nice..idunno, I just don't like the shoe....

"Stepping" your shoe game up

Okay, so I saw these on hypebeast and istantly went crazy. 1st thing that caught my eye was the Ozzy Osborurne x Converse Jack Purcell shoes. The unique concept that was choosen for the shoe was a straight jacket. The brown leather straps set the shoe off.

The second thing that dropped my jaw and had me drooling all over my keyboard was the Supra Trinity from the Supra NS "Burgundy" collection. As of lately Supra has been killing the shoe game (actually Supra always had nice shoes to skate in, its just people are actually starting to notice). These shoes are just beautiful and will surely turn a few heads and break a few necks. White laces would set these over the top.

The last shoe(s) I wanna talk about is NBA player Al Harrington's new Protege shoe. He took the same approach as Stephon Marbury by releasing "affordable" basketball shoes. The only difference is the Al's shoes are $15 more and they actually look nice.

A Jack Of All Trades

While I found this year's slam dunk contest to be as entertaining as soft core porn, my spirits were lifted when Lebron James officially stated that he WILL be a contestant in the 2010 Slam Dunk Contest in Dallas, TX. I know many of you are thinking, "Lebron is going to leap-frog his way to victory but that may not necessarily be true. I can't exactly point out when it happened but it seems that slam dunk contest are based off creativity more than how difficult the dunks are and I believe that the judges are bias. Lebron will need to put on his "thinking cap" and come up with something that has never been done before (I think he should jump over a Rolls Royce) to leave Dallas with the 1st place trophy. Despite all of this I hope that next years contest will be better than this year's. Now all we need is Kobe, Vince, and Josh Smith to make a return.

Happy Friday the 13th!

I really can't explain it, but theres just something about Friday the 13th that I love. Aside from today being like a second Halloween minus the trick-or-tricking and tacky costumes, today is also the "return" (if you wanna call it that) of the Camp Crystal Lake killer, Jason Voorhees. Thats right as many know Jason is back in a remake of the orginal movie. Me, being a fan of horror movies, I can gauruntee I will be in attendance for the movie sometime before the weekend is over. I have big expectations for this film. Rob Zombie threw his stank on Halloween and Ressurection was an amazing piece of work, so considering Friday the 13th is taking the same route and remaking an old school horror it better be mindblowing.

Whether you know it or not, the Resident Evil 5 demo has been released in the Xbox Live marketplace for those with Gold Memberships. In the latest installment of the Resident Evil series, Hero/Survivor Chris Redfield (from the first game and Code Veronica) travels to Africa to once more make an attempt to put a hault to bioterroism. Similar to Resident Evil 0, you will have a partner, (Sheva) which allows for on and offline co-op.

The first thing that caught my eye while playing this demo was how beautiful everything looked, especially considering I was in the slums of Africa. The game also ran very smoothly for a demo that supports online co-op play. While playing I had no complaints whatsoever...at least until one of my xbox homies angrily stated, "This is bull, you can't move and shoot at the same time like in Resident Evil 4!". While this may seem like a minor issue, being able to move and shoot was a crucial part in Resident Evil 4. Towards the end of the demo, my life was ended by a "Purple" African infected wielding a chainsaw due to my character not being able to move and reload simultaneously. Hopefully Capcom fixes these problems by the time the game hits the states. Also, with the addition of this great online co-op and the success of "Left 4 Dead" it makes me want to demand that Capcom makes another attempt at the not-so-successful (or good) online survivor horror: Resident Evil Outbreak.

Many of my Michigander viewers may or may not know that I'm doing a collaboration with Burn Rubber Detroit (streetwear/sneaker boutique)...They selected local artists(I'm semi-local and semi-artist) to collab with as part of their Artist Series line. My shirt and crewneck will be releasing in the near future, and ASHA LOVE once i get a hold of them i'll be shipping you some to L.A.

The Painting above was about 85% done when photographed...I've detailed the heart, so it doesn't look flat anymore...added buttons to the jacket, added some more "thingies" to the background...and some text. PARIS — Marc Jacobs and the Louis Vuitton men’s studio director Paul Helbers have some design competition this season. Kanye West, who was sitting front row at the Vuitton show, has designed a line of five LV sneakers. Only one design, above, was featured in the show — a monochromatic midtop with no frills, save for a quilted flap in the back, all the easier to tuck pants into. “The inspiration came from a jacket with a huge collar in the movie ‘Dune,’ ” West says. “Most sneakers focus on the tongue, so I wanted to do something different.” West knows whereof he speaks: he says he has no idea how many shoes he owns, but he does know that he routinely needs to send shipments off to storage. The LV-meets-Kanye kicks will be available at Louis Vuitton stores in June.

I don't necessarily think that the design above is ugly...they're unique-looking because of the heel-tab flap...but at the same time the design isn't TOO original...it reminds me of some classic skateboard shoe fused with the Reebok G-unit G-6, and at the moment they're not my cup of tea...perhaps i'll give it the Air Jordan treatment (look at the shoe for extended periods of time until they start looking aesthetically pleasing to the point of purchase.) ....however, i did like the Boat Shoe design he came up with...hopefully, they release in other colors than patent leather white.

Also, these Raf Simons x Fred Perry loafers are dope...i really love THE RED ONES!!
